The ICU information table at Sakura Matsuri Street Festival on April 12, 2014 was a great success again! Many people stopped by asking questions and receiving the information packages. Some Alumni visiting DC happened to find us, too. It was really a fun event to connect with people and promote ICU. (Please see the photos.)
Kudos to JICUF, Mark Flanigan and Milena Naitoh who traveled from NY to set up the booth and enthusiastically promoted ICU throughout the day. Special thanks will go to the dedicated volunteers: Bill Clark, Naoki and Keiko Koshiya, Megumi Aikawa, Peterand Amy Prahar, Naoko Kamiishi and her son, Makito; Tomoko Kato, Megan Forry, Yuka Kobayashi, Yuka Makino, Kaede Kaneda, Krista Strucke, Haruyo Hirose, and some more alumni who stopped by. We truly appreciate their strong support and genki spirit! It was very nice to see that ICU alumni have a powerful presence in Washington, DC area. We hope the event will bring many candidates to ICU as well as strengthen our chapter’s network.
At the dinner, Mark’s sister, Anna, her friend, this year’s Rotary Peace Fellow, Catlin Dimino and her friend joined us. It was a fun-filled and heart-warming spring evening.
